Optimisation

Website optimisation is simply adapting it both in terms of a code, i.e. computer language in which it is written, and content published on it to requirements of Internet search engines.

It is considerably easier to adapt material content of a website where the main rule is to place keywords in published contents and appropriately select website navigation. It will help automatic indexers of search engines (web crawlers) and Internet users to quickly navigate the web page and find desired content. When formulating content which is to be published on a website, it is important to avoid copying texts from other places in the Internet. Our articles must simply be unique.

Adaptation of website code may be explained differently as adapting to rules and standards used by search engines during indexation of resources of the Internet. The purpose of code optimisation is to acquire as good as possible image of our website when it is checked by automatic indexers of search engines.

Usually in this regard attention is directed to proper structure of headings – h1, h2, metatags, such as subpage title, description, keywords, attributes for graphics, setting redirections or proper placing of files constituting a sign for local searches. They are the most frequently improved parts of website codes.

What is it all for?

I will answer once more: to be on the top of a list of search results. Unfortunately, nowadays optimisation alone is not enough to reach this goal.
